As I posted previously, weird things were happening to my Droid X since I downloaded 2.3. Yesterday, I finally went to my local VZW store and talked to one of the people there. He looked at my phone case and asked where I got it. I replied at a kiosk in one of our many malls. He told me that the magnet in the holster was incompatible with my Droid. He took a couple of phone cases and a silicon holster made for the Droid X. I tried them all, and all these weird things, such as opening up the car dock when I took it out of the case, didn't happen any more. If some weird thing is happening to your Droid, and you got a holster/case not made for the Droid X, you might want to check that out.
