Notification bar

I have had a chareg for a little over a month and ive started having problems with it one of them is when i get a text the notification bar says i have 2 but i only have one new message. Anyone have this happen or know how to fix it?

I haven't had this yet but you could try clearing the data from your messaging app to see if that clears out that supposed extra message. You do this by pressing - Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Messaging > Clear data.

I have seen this when you have another messaging app running besides the stock one.If you are using another messaging app like Handcent, you need to disable notifications on the stock messaging app. To do this, open the stock messaging app and  Select Settings and go down to Notifications and uncheck it.
