HTC Customer Representative:

 

Told me the entire 2.2. Update for Customers domestically will be completed within 10 business days from August 27, 2010 released date.

HTC is the maker of Incredible. I find HTC a more reliable source of info. than Verizon Wireless. Moreover, all updates come from Google to HTC to Verizon Wireless. It will not require 3-4 weeks.

HTC said, "when updates are released to smartphones the process are completed within 10 business days"

 

Now let us wait for this Update rather than going crazy like MONKEYS.

 

FURTHER NEWS, 

 

2.2 UPDATE WILL ENABLE THE HTC INCREDIBLE TO BECOME AN HIGH-DEF (HD) DEVICE SINCE CAMERA/VIDEO CAPTURE WILL OUTPUT 720P.

I can confirm the HD in video mode as I am looking at it right now.
