Most Droid users within my company are unable to view HTML attachments via Corporate email. I click OPEN attachment, I see the pop-up named "Fetching attachment" and the end result is "Unable to Open Attachment"
However, the same attachment does work in Gmail.Wierd...
These are the things that I have tried so far:
- Changed the size of the HTML file to 5kb-there was a KB article on the Droid forums that Email will allow only 5kb files to be viewed… ---Result: Didn’t work
- Changed extension of file to HTM: ---Result: Didn’t work
- Removed all the scripts in the file: ---Result: Didn’t work
- Changed SSL settings on my connection---Result: Didn’t work
What did work is the following: Saved the file as TXT: What is interesting here is that Droid asks me if I want to view the file using the HTML viewer---grrrrrrrrr!....and now I am able to view the contents of the file.
So can I ask for help with this....are we supposed to be able to view the HTML files from Corporate email?
If yes, is there a workaround?
thanks
