Ordered mine on 8/28 also, no email or anything yet...now I won't see anything unitl after the holiday...sucks.  Wonder if it's just location?  Could it really be supply as they are saying?

I ordered on 8/28 in a corporate store.  This is a very promising post.  I have a trip starting next Thursday and was hoping to get the phone before I go.  If not, I'm stuck until my quoted date of 9/13, because I won't be here.

So I posted a little while ago that I was hopeful.  I just got the same email.  That my order has shipped, but no info when I try to track it.  I'm hoping that it will be picked up on Tuesday and arrive here on Wednesday.  If it doesn't make it before Thursday, I'll be bummed.  I'm going to a conference and won't have it until Sunday then.  I'm crossing my fingers.

I am in a similar situation!  I am hoping that this phone gets here a day earlier at least.  Else I am gone for quite sometime and they won't divert shipment to where I am going to be at!.

There is tracking info for my Droid X now; it says anticipated ship date 9/6/2010 and estimated delivery date 9/9/2010.

I am a little confused, however, how that's 2-day shipping (which I was charged for); that seems like 3-day shipping to me!

I ordered mine over the phone the evening of August 30th, was told it would ship by 9/13, received my shipping notice Friday, Nov 4th for arrival date of 9/8.  So psyched!!!

I ordered my Droid X in a Verizon store on 8/29/2010 and just received an e-mail a few minutes ago (9/5/2010) from Verizon that says it was shipped to me!! When I click on the tracking number, it says FedEx has no info about that shipment, but I'm thinking that's because it won't be picked-up until Tuesday. So, if all goes well, I expect to get it on Thursday, perhaps!

yes you are rite its because fedex is closed today due to the holiday and plus verizon sends a notication to their system stating they have a shippment to be picked. once the phone gets picked up we will have a update on fedex.com of our delivery date. which would be the 8th. thats wat  i was told by vzw and fedex.. So EXCITED!!

Ordered mine on the 27th and got an email this morning with tracking number, phone would be here 8th due to the Holiday...idk why are saying they are receiving theres tomorrow because Fedex is closed today lol call fedex myself and was told no shippments on holidays.. so yal will see your phone Wed the 8th ppl..

FedEx updated my tracking info to show my phone was picked-up today (9/7) and will be delivered Thursday (9/9).

Unfortunately, I drive a tractor-trailer for a living and will be going into work later today or tomorrow, and will probably be on the road until Saturday!
