PIN for Amazon Basics keyboard

I recently purchased an Amazon Basics BlueTooth keyboard (B005OOKNP4) for use with my Droid X2.  After turning on the keyboard and setting it to connect, my Droid recognized it and prompted me for a password.  The dialogue suggested "0000" or "1234" but neither worked.  I called Amazon support and they just sent me a new keyboard, but it's doing the same thing, so I'm thinking it's not an Amazon issue.  Is this a compatibility problem?  Has anyone else tried this?

Thanks for any help you can give.

I've tried it and had the same problem.  The keyboard apparently generates a new pin for each pairing session but it can't send it to the Droid X for some reason.  I tried re-pairing with my Kindle and writing down the pin, but of course that pin won't work with the next pairing session with the Droid.  Bah!
