I just bought my Incredible 2 last week. The other night gmail and all google contacts and market were gone. So I finally did a factory reset. Now all my contacts are there but when I get a text from someone only the number shows up. When I hold down on the msg to save to the contact it acts like its a new contact. Also when I go to that same person in my contact list one of the texts between us show up...
PLEASE HELP this is driving me nuts and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Alanna6, I can definitely understand why this issue would be frustrating! I had a similar issue where two of my contacts only showed the number even though they were in my contact list. For me, just doing a restart resolved the issue. Also, make sure the number in the SMS matches what you have saved in the contact. For instance, if the contact has an 11 digit number, but SMS only shows 10 digits, change the contact to 10 digits. Also, when you choose to add the contact, does it have an option to update existing contact?
