PROBLEM WITH MAIL

Hi-

         I am having a little trouble with the mail application.  I put in my primary email acct. (AOL) but it seems to be incredibly slow at showing my mail.  I will check my mail on my computer and it will show 2-3 new messages but on my phone it shows none.  It won't show I have any mail until a few hours later.  I rely on this to be prompt when I have an email come in.  Is there anything that can be done about this?

How did you add AOL to your E-mail? Was it the app from the Market, or did you add the account through the stock E-mail app that is pre-loaded onto your phone? 

If downloaded from the Market, try using the stock application and add your AOL account. 

If you are using the pre-loaded version, clear the data and cache for AOL: 

 - Settings

 - Applications

 - Manage Applications

 - Tap "All" in the tool bar

 - Scroll to and tap E-mail 

 - Tap Clear Data and Clear Cache
