Yes I am missing slingplayer and all my paid apps, also. Just another example of verizon or google blocking us from something we paid for and work in 2.1 How can this possibly make any sense?
Frustrated with this decision!!!

Ok...now that 2.2 is official, some paid apps are not showing up in market. Primarily sling player mobile and documents to go. I paid $30 for sling. If I do factory reset, I wont be able to get it back. Has anyone noticed some of their paid apps missing from market or downloads list?
I noticed my Sling Player app missing also. It still works but like you said, I'd hate to have to do a factory reset and not be able to get it back.

Yes I have noticed this too
And I did a factory reset before updating so I no longer have most of my apps. Anyone from verizon reading this and want to comment?
For example for me its gamevil games such as the paid version of zenonia, or polarbit games like armageddon squadron....slingplayer....etc....

The reason why you do not see these apps after upgrading to 2.2, is that the developers have not updated the program or the manifest to include 2.2. Verizon has NOTHING to do with the market, and Google has nothing to do with why some apps shsow and some don't
You need to contact the developer of the software in question and tell them that you no longer can see the apps after updating. This is a feature of the market, where deveopers can target specific OS flavors.
No one is blocking anything. If a developer has not included 2.2 as a target OS, the market will not show it on 2.2 phones.
There are things in the market that you did not see before, but you can see now, because those apps were targeted just at 2.2, and nothing below. That would include Flash, Gmail update etc.

I don't think you are correct stating that it is the apps fault.....If it is the App developers fault then how come they show up just fine on my droid 1 with the 2.2 update for that?

{Please keep your posts courteous - Thanks!}
There is a file that is called the manifest. That is what the Market uses to determine what you can see and what you cannot see. This is so if a developer decides to program an app for a big screen, Froyo phone, then it will only show up for that. The manifest is created when the programmer creates the .apk file. Just because it showed up for the Droid 2, and not the X, tells me that those applications do not have the programming for large screens for Froyo.
Again, contact the developer because they are the ONLY ones that can fix the problem.
