In the contacts, I can briefly see most of the home address for a contact but sometimes the whole address is not visible. When I click it, it automatically opens in map view, when all I wanted to do was copy down the address. Is there a way to choose whether the map program opens or how do I just view the entire contact as one unit? How would I copy and paste a contact info, from the people card to an email for instance?

As far as the Incredible is concerned, it doesn't appear as though there is a way for you to choose whether or not the navigation options will appear for you when you want to view an address. Therefore, it will automatically appear.
May I suggest this: When you want to view a complete address from the contacts, go to the contact, select menu, select edit
This way you will be able to see the contact in it's entirety.
Additionally, you will not be able to copy/paste contact information from a contact into an email.
