Personalize Ringtone for Contacts on Droid 2

I just bought my daughter a Droid 2.  She commented that the one thing she misses from her old phone is that she could program in a different ring tone for different contacts.  I have been unable to find this feature on Droid 2.  Is it available?

Yes! There is a way to do this.

Go to the contact press the menu key> edit > additional info (scroll all the way down)> call handling/ringtone.

You can also download "ringdroid" (or other ringtone apps) from the market.

I use an app called Rings Extended. It doesn't actually "open"....when you edit your contact's ringtone, it allows easy access to all the ringtones you've downlaoded from various apps. This also works when setting your ringtone, alert tones, alarm clock tone.

Text msging apps such as Handcent SMS & SMS Popup will allow you to customize txt alerts for each contac.

There is an app called Ringo Lite in the market for free. You can assign different ringtones to contacts.I like how you can assign a ringtone for text messages for contacts
