Twice this week my phone has completely powered off while I wasn't using it and won't power back on until i remove the battery. Very frustrating- I'm wondering if it is overheating although neither time was it hot. Anyone else have this problem?
How are you charging it by the the charger that came with or by your computer if it is use the charger that come with the phone, there's an app called system panel in the market down load it. It will tell you what the apps are doing an it can tell what & how much your cpu is doing an it will also tell the temperature of the phone an the battery temp. as well.
But if you can't get it to come on an your under your 14 days don't mess around with it. return it an get another one or another phone.

I agree with the other post. This could be a serious problem with the phone and should be looked at by VZW tech support before the 14-day period is up. You can get another Charge for no additional cost if there is a problem they can't solve, and that new phone will have a new 14-day return period attached to it.
This has happed both when on my car charger and on the factory provided charger. Unfortunately, the first time I had this problem was a month after I got the phone so not under the 14 day grace period. I do plan on taking the phone to Verizon and having them look at as both of you suggested. Thanks

This is something that concerns me, too! Please advise if you've been able to correct the issue. Or if there is an error message you see before it shuts off. If a device shuts off and does not turn back on, it could be an issue with the battery connection to the phone.
