Since my phone got the 2.2 update I have not been able to access the internet when I am on the phone. The second I answer or initiate a call the 3G symbol disappears and a message appears when I open the browser saying no connection. It has happened to my phone, my husbands and my bosses- Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
There is no fix. Verizon's CDMA network does not and has never allowed simultaneous voice and data. When you're on the phone the 3G signal drops out and you use 1x for voice. The only way to do both is to be connected to wifi.

If you use wifi you can surf during a phone call. This was the basis one of ATTs big ads.
On T-mobile you can do this too! Not just with AT&T. Although if you are on Edge network you can't be on call & surf the web at same time. Only if you have 3G available then you can.
