HELP! I had an Incredible 2 earlier this year, and I encountered the same charging problem. It was fine at first, but eventually, the phone started dying while on the charger. It showed that the phone was taking the charge, but the battery would still drain. Then it just wouldn't turned on. I tried different chargers, bought brand new batteries, NOTHING! I took it in the Verizon store and they set me up with another one, which was fine for a while, now I am having the exact same problem! I've tried different chargers and different batteries, but nothing. I am a college student and really can't afford to not have a phone while away from home, so please help ASAP!!!!

Good morning mak_bec,
The Droid Incredible 2 is by FAR one of my favorite smartphones of all time! The specs on the Incredible 2 are so impressive that it STILL rivals many of the devices that we have on the market to this day! I want to make sure that you can enjoy ALL of the benefits of this amazing device! May I ask is there any physical or liquid damage on the phone? Also, did you purchase a new battery at a Verizon Wireless store or another retailer, liked Batteries Plus or Best Buy? Below are some steps to try in order to get the device to work.
• Remove battery from the device and verify that the gold coils on the device are undamaged.
• Confirm that the gold plates on the battery are clean.
• Remove any debris from the charging port and/or the charger.
• Plug phone into charger without the battery & test the charging port.
o We are looking for any electrical feedback from the device.
If you are still unable to power up the device then we can explore warranty/replacement options. The results of the troubleshooting above will confirm if it’s an equipment issue, especially the last step. Once you have replied with your results then I can continue to assist on this matter. I look forward to your reply as I am eager to get this resolved for you!
Thank you…

I am just sick about my phone, can anyone help with the fact the phone just died, won't turn on, nothing, verizon looked at, and even said no damage, - it just quit and died quietly in the night! I didn't drop it, never got it wet, it just quit working, like I even checked to see if we had a power surge, and nothing! It's barely a year old, so no options to even upgrade early, not till January 2013 except for paying full price or buying a horrible phone that I would be stuck with for another 2 years.

Hi KatzPhones!
Lets take a look at your phone! Which device do you have? Are you using the original charger and battery? I would try a new battery to resolve the issue. Device manufacturers do recommend a new battery every 12 months for optimal performance. Keep me posted!
Thanks,

Hi Adam: Unfortunately I took the phone to Verizon's tech, and they tried
everything, new charger's, new batteries, and they were completely
perplexed! They saw no damage whatsoever, and of course there was none, but
they could not get it to come on, light up, make a sound, nothing at all.
It's dead as a doornail. I'm so frustrated, and I'm not allowed to upgrade
until Jan 2013, so I've been without a phone since several months now. I am
going to check into no contract phones, since I don't ever want to be in
this position again, at the mercy of Verizon, having to pay full price for a
phone, when I'm only a couple of months away from being able to get one for
a reasonable price with an upgrade and I've been a Verizon customer since
before they were even Verizon! Can't remember what the name of the company
used to be, but I've been a loyal, paid on time customer with many phones in
my household since then and I'm pretty amazed that they can't make an
exception. I need date, to check my emails when I'm away from my office,
and to be able to find locations, etc., but oh well, I do thank you for your
concern and advice, but I've even tried to contact HTC but they want to
charge me for fixing it and frankly, with all the reviews I've read on
numerous sites regarding my particular phone model, once it gets fixed, it
starts doing the same thing all over again - that would really make me
crazy!! lol
