Hello,
My phone died last night and now it will not charge at all or turn on. No light comes on.
I tried calling Verizon and after a half an hour she found out it wasn't under warranty so she transferred me to Asurion. It asked me to type in my number and it didn't recognize it so it hung up on me leaving me with no resolution whatsoever.
What can I do to get a replacement phone?

Well thanks to the plethora of responses I received on here I've decided these forums are just as helpful as Verizon customer service. Thanks guys!

This is a peer to peer community forum. Not everyone who reads a post will respond to it. Of which, your post has only been viewed 37 times. When compared to the number of new messages posted on this community in twenty four hours that isn't a lot. Also you posted it on Sunday which is typically a much quieter day for activity on this community.
Back to your question, for you to be eligible for replacing the phone under warranty, you needed to be paying for the extended warranty each month. For insurance replacement, you would have had an different charge on your bill for total equipment coverage. If you haven't been paying for either of those options, you can look at purchasing a secondhand device from a third party individual, eBay, Swappa, etc.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
