Apparently there is an issue with my photo gallery. When I open the Incredible 2's stock photo app, I can take pictures/video no problem. However, when I press the gallery button on the far left, the gallery refuses to open. After the button is pressed, I am no longer able to take a picture/video, open photo options or switch back and forth between the still photo camera and video camera.
Whenever I want to send a picture via text message or send a picture through facebook or any other app that needs to open the photo gallery, the respective app crashes.
My phone has the most recent gingerbread update and I've already tried the soft reset route. I'd rather not perform a factory hard reset if at all possible.
This problem started after my phone suddenly restarted and loaded fresh as if I had just performed a hard reset. Perhaps the original update never finished installing? Did I install a program that does not function properly with the phone's gallery?
Previously, I performed a hard reset after my keyboard wasn't working properly (that problem I posted in the forum as well).

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Nope. No Gallery app in the app drawer. In the Manage All Applications folder, All tab, Gallery is listed but its title field/text is grey--as opposed to the other apps with a white text. Maybe the gallery isn't installed on my phone properly? How'd that happen?

Sounds like you may had a failed update and all Apps didn't get installed when the update process completed...
Sounds like you may have to do a hard reset to fix your issue because the app missing can't be installed back on the device in this situation.. My suggestion is backup and reset the device.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions Wildman!
Since the Gallery application is a preinstalled app, and there is no way to download it from the Market or another source, I too would suggest performing a Hard Reset. It must not have reinstalled properly after the update. As long as you have your Google/GMail login credentials, you should be able to retain your contacts and anything that was previously syncing with Google. I am including a link with instructions for the Hard Reset below:
Hard Reset - HTC DROID Incredible 2 ADR6350
Please let us know how this works out for you!
