Please someone help me! Phone is messed up!

I am so frustrated right now!

I woke up this morning to a message on my screen saying Update 2.2...so I went ahead and clicked on the tab to update my system.  Since then....

My battery life has all but died on me....I took my charger off it's base this morning at 8am, and by 11am it was dead.  It won't stay charged.

And my phone (Droid by moto) is boiling hot.  Different apps aren't working and some have worked once I unistalled them and reistalled them, but others...not so much.

Does anyone have any ideas that could help me out?  I'm not very technically savvy.

Oh, and my phone is running wwwaaayyy slower than it was before.  Boo!!!

Something is running in the background for it to be hot. I would check each of your apps that use gps, some run all the time.

I would also do a soft reset (turn off phone and remove battery for atleast 30 seconds).

If that does not work try a hard reset (menu>settings>privacy>factory reset)

If all else fails take it into a store.
