I bought a new Droid today and had my number ported over from T-Mobile to Verizon. They told me that the porting might take a "little while" to complete and that until it did, I could make calls from my new phone but I'd still recieve calls on my old phone.
It's been almost 8 hours and I'm still getting incoming calls on my old phone.
Anybody know what the deal might be?
Porting can take up to 24 hours, but usually occurs within 2-3 hours. Also, incorrect information can make it take longer. So you want to make sure you provide all the correct info about your T-Mo account; account number, name and address and any password you have. You can contact CS to inquire about the status of your port and to see if there's any further information required.
