Power up and Power down tone.

I noticed that my phone when I hit the power button and when I unlock the phone it makes a tone.

Even with my phone on silent it will make that tone.

I do notice that between the hours of 10pm to 7am, it will not make that tone. How can I stop the tone completely.

Try turning-off/unchecking Menu > Settings > Sound> Screen lock sounds.

But it still doesn't explain why the tones only played during the day time.

Hello lance96816. After researching your concerns, we were unable to identify why this issue would only occur during daytime hours. My hope is that the instructions provided by your fellow community member allowed you to turn off the tone.

On my olfphone there was a settinf so the there were Quiet time settings. Is ther such a setting on the Droid2? Maybe I should look there.

If you are using K9-Mail, there are a settings in:

K9-Mail > Menu > Settings > Notifications > Quiet Time

for Quiet Time starts and Quiet Time ends.  Don't know if this effects all notifications or just K9-Mail.  I don't use the Quite Time settings.
