Problems since Gingerbread Update

I received my update Friday night and it installed on Saturday morning. Unfortunately I have run into some problems since this update went in. 1) It lost most of my contacts. It still has all those annoying Facebook contacts, but my family and friends are all gone. It lost the phone numbers and names of many people. 2) When I try to listen to music, it tells me that my playlists are all empty. It lists the name of the playlists, but it doesn't find anything in them, even though the music appears to still be on the storage card.
Has anyone else run into these issues and do you have any ideas on what I can do?

You DO realize that you need to be reporting issues over at the MFN Forum as part of the SOAK/TEST group, right? not here. If you were really part of that TEST group, you should have received an email with instruction and a web link to the forum.

I was not part of a test group. I was not even aware that the update was coming out. I woke up Saturday morning and my phone had a message on it stating that there had been a software update. I clicked okay and off it went.
I don't know where to report issues like this and I've not seen any reports of other people having these problems.
I can't just bring in my contact from Google, because most of there were not there. I lost the phone numbers of people who I had manually put in my phone and when I go online to backup assistant; they are not there either because my phone has already updated that.

I guess it's possible that it's not Gingerbread, but from what I've read, Gingerbread was released to some people beginning last Friday. From the description I've read of the changes in the Gingerbread update, it sounds like what was done on my phone. That's why I think I got the Gingerbread update. What else would it be?
My wife and I both have the droid x and we bought them at the same time. She still hasn't received an update and mine came late Friday night.

That is the official version of Gingerbread for the Droid X from Verizon. I just checked it against the system update pdf file.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Love the update for the most part. In the Motoblur Social Activity widget, it no longer lists the number of unread updates you have. This can be annoying, if you have a hundred or two hundred, you don't know where you're at.....hopefully it will be taken care of in a future maintainance update. Most everything else seems to be working well so far. Can't comment on the contact thing, mine all seem to be there, though the groupings are different and most of the duplication seems to have been eliminated with better linking. Very happy overall!

I would say that you install it over a full setup device with Froyo, these are the type of issues that I have noticed happens, my suggestion is to do a hard reset and then log into Google or BA and update information..
