Not sure if anyone has brought this up before, but my X randomly says "Verizon wireless." It also does this when I'm making a call as well as when an incoming call is about to pop up. It's pretty annoying. I haven't taken it anywhere yet, I figured I'd check on here first. Anyone have any suggestions, or do I need to take it to Verizon?

Turn off "Enhanced Roaming Indicator". It can be found at: Settings->Sound->"Roaming Tone" (uncheck it)

Yes. You are bouncing back and forth between home service ("Verizon Wireless") and roaming. The phone is verbally announcing your return to home service.
Normally, this is turned off by default, but I turned it on accidently once. It didn't do anything for days, but one day, I apparently returned "home" and that voice scared the absolute hell out out of me, LOL. I couldn't turn it off fast enough!
