Why would you be fearing for increased rates, when the only reason AT&T is doing it is because of the way their users are using the bandwidth on their network.

As far as I can tell and heard, Verizon has not suffered through this, and in the event that they do get the iPhone and monopolize the world -- I would think they have more cushion to fall on seeing as how their 3G network is well...uh...Huge.

What do you mean by "Verizon cripples bluetooth?"  If you are referring to the fact that the Motorola Droid does not have bluetooth voice dialing, then that is not something Verizon "disabled" or purposely left out.  It is a Motorola/Google Android issue.

As for the rate increases for heavy iphone users on the ATT network.  No one has said whether ATT would "cap" data usage or introduce tier pricing.  It is still unknown.  How would that affect Verizon users???  Verizon has not even given an ounce of inclination that it is experiencing the issues that ATT is with its network due mostly to the iphone users.  So with that said, be glad you are on the Verizon network and not the ATT network.  I dont think we have anything to worry about.

Ever notice when someone posts these loaded questions they only have like one or two posts listed, and most of it is moaning about how X doesn't work, or how Y is still not better than the iPhone?

Isn't it about time Verizon use CAPATCHAs when registering users. :smileyindifferent:

First of all, I don't have a lot of posts, because I just opened this account. Secondly, how do you figure that I am "moaning"??

It's well known that Verizon will NOT allow it's devices to communicate in ways OTHER than "hands free" connectivity. All I was saying is that it bothers me.

As far as the at&t  link I posted, IMHO it gives other carriers an opportunity to fall in line and follow along. Verizon is good for nickel and dime antics. In the name of "unforeseen demands", I can see them adding on more surcharges.

Now....... Given the tone of the replies I have received, I am thinking this forum is peppered with a bunch of Verizon reps and spin doctors.
