I have had the incredible for a few weeks, and no problems so far. Lately, though, when charing, the phone shuts down then reboots itself when the battery is about 85% charged. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
It's not normal for the device to act in this manner. Sometimes debris such as crumbs, lint, and other tiny objects can make their way into the charging port of the device causing it to act erratically. I would suggest ensuring that the port is free of debris and also ensure the battery compartment is clean as well.
