Whenever I receive a text message it shows that I have two. however I only have one when I open it. Can someone be shadowing my phone some kind of way and perhaps seeing my text?
This is a rare situation that I have not encountered, ttm.
We can check some things on the device to see how to resolve this.
Are you using any 3rd party messaging apps on the phone that were installed from the Play Store? If you do, please remove the messaging app.
I'm assuming that this is happening with all of your messages that you get, is that correct?
