I have recently downloaded an application named Handcent for added features for my text messaging. But now I receive a notification from both Handcent and my regular text messaging. Is there a way to turn off the regular text messaging and just use the download? I have to open both messages to clear the message icon. Any help would be appreciated.
Go into the stock text messaging app and hit the menu button, then go to "messaging settings" and uncheck the "Notifications" box.
