Refreshing email

My primary email is a yahoo account and it has stopped refreshing. All I get is the red circle, like it is trying to update/refresh.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Sumgolfer, please try a soft reset. Remove the battery while the phone is powered on, and wait 60 seconds. Then, re-attach the battery and power the phone on. If this does not resolve the issue, send me a message with your mobile number and a number to reach you. I will contact you for further troubleshooting.

Is this even after you've touched menu, then touched refresh? Sometimes that sort of makes mine focus on the task at hand and it gets it done.

I'm having the exact same problem.  I tried refresh...nothing.  All settings are saying Yahoo mail is synced correctly, but I'm not getting notifications of new mail nor can I see recent activity in any folder.  HELP!

I use gmail as my primary contact account, though I have an old yahoo account that I still use occasionally. If I add my yahoo mail from the 'accounts' icon, (touch menu, settings, account, add account then select 'Yahoo Mail') it downloads mail fairly regularly. It tends to refresh more after a soft reset. I tried downloading a yahoo app, for email and that didn't work well at all. The only time it refreshed was when the phone was reset.
