Refurbished replacement phones

I have now returned 2 Bionics to Verizon and I am shipping #3 off tomorrow. They always send a refurbished phone as a replacement, but I have found these phones to be defective each time. I am guessing they are just returns from other customers. They supposedly go through some sort of 100 point check system, but that apparently is a joke.

1st Replacement:  The volume button fell off after 1st use. Just popped right out and wouldn't stay in the phone. Also the phone was scuffed up and looked like it was a manufacturer's reject.

2nd Replacement:  The proximity sensor / light sensor does not work and the screen has issues. The screen on several occasions doesn't recognize that it is being touched or it will respond as if touched in a different location.

I can't wait to see what is going to be wrong with my 4th Bionic. It feels like Christmas morning... in a bad way.

Boy am I glad I dont have your luck, I have had only a few replacement devices and I havent yet had to return the device for any defected issues upon arrival, everytime I heard that a user has had a repeated devce issue I just cant understand how I seem to be so lucky..

Guess I one in a million man and you are a everyother person because the odds are so low of a issue constantly happening..

Hope they get you going with a working device...  Good Luck.

Just got my 4th Bionic in. Within 10 minutes of boot I had a BSOD. Had to pull the battery.

Ive gotten my 3rd replacement before just giving up and going back to a 3G device...the good thing, all the issues reported are not only similar to everyone elses, but also recognized by Motorola so that should tell you another replacement will never be the solution, its cleary a software issue dependant on a software fix that may actually be released one day.

Personally, I refuse to hold onto a phone that doesnt work and is reliant on a software update that is not even guaranteed to fix the issue and also repeatedly pushed back.

Think its time to talk Verizon into exchanging the Bionic for a different model...

I am very frustrated with the Bionic.

They are losing a lifelong customer very soon if nothing changes SOON

That sucks, maybe you should contact moto for a replacement

I haven't ever had to have a replacement but I've heard both horro stories and success stories

Yah motorla isn't the only companies that make phones. You might take a look at the samsung nexus that is coming out soon

Very excited for the Nexus It was tested in another country before bringing it to the U.S.

It is pure Android without any of this Moto Blur {word filter avoidance} or for that matter HTC Sense build around.

Sick and tired of my Bionic flaws and Verizon not doing anything to fix it 3rd Bionic is enough to make me walk away from Verizon

I would call motorola directly. Thats where the phone comes from anyways? Whats the point of cancelling verizon, going to att and getting a motorola atrix by the same manufacturer? Im sure as soon as the nexus comes out, there will be unsatisfied people. Just like with any other phone.
