I need to reset my primary email to a different gmail account, Does anyone know how much info will be lost? Is it just downloads that might not be saved to the memory card? Will removing the memory card before reset help?

My guess would be everything except what is saved on the sd card. Contacts, apps, etc will be gone when switching to a new email.

You will lose everything. Apps that you downloaded, ringtones, contacts, everything. The device will look the way it first did when you pulled it out of the box. Why don't you just go into Settings>Accounts>Choose the account>Remove Account. That will save you a lot of trouble.

Is there a way to remove the Backup Assistant Account? I would like to only sync to Google, but can't find anyway to remove Backup Assistant, in fact it is the only account that has a little lock logo on it......
Any help is appreciated, from what I have been reading, the only way to get rid of Backup Assistant is to Factory Restore the phone....which makes NO sense!
