Ring tone settings

How can I set different ring tone alerts for E-Mail's and Textings messages ? And can I select not to have a ring tone alert for either one.

Also I keep on getting my phone to say Extended Net Work., What does that mean ?

You can set a different tone for all email or all text messages by going into their resceptive apps, press menu and go to the settings.  Once there you can change the notifications tone.

Have you update your preferred roaming list lately?  Dial *228, option 2.  You have been in an area when your phone says "Verizon Wireless" instead on someone else's towers i.e. "Extended Network" for the call to connect to the right place.

Thanks alot, The ring tones work great now.

 I do the *228 every time I change locations , so I did it again and everything seems to be fine now.

1. Open Messages

2. Left Menu Button

3. Messaging Settings

4. Click "Text Messaging" or "Email"

5. Notifications

And if you uncheck notifation option this will disable notification fir that alert.

The Extended Network is simular to roaming when you are connected to a network partner of Verizon,   The alert being heard usually mean you enabled Roaming tone or Network Lost under Settings / Sound menu..  Disable these if they are on.
