SCH-I510 firmware 2.3.6 update major issues

Since the update, I havelost all ability to connect to any Data network, or to an gps locking system.

I've done all the small things like restarting the phone and such, and I have tried various conbinations of settings for GPS services.

Phone locked onto 4g, 3g or 1x for less than 1 minute, on about 12 seperate occasions since the update.

Have not once sucesffully acheived GPS lock. The gps symble turns into a circle blinking empty/full/empty/full and never finding the position.

Any input or suggestions please, before I have to trek down to the verizon store.

****EDIT: Just found another new thread about people, many from the New York area as myself who  are experiencing the same problem here, but as of yet, no solutions.
