SD card

An explanation please,  What is the SD card for . Can I add stuff to it or does it do it itself ? What kind of stuff should go on it ? Does it and the phone memory interact with each other ?  Any info on this would be an education for an old man and his new phone.

It works in conjunction with the phone. You don,t need to worry about it. However, you can manually move some of your apps to the SD card to leave more room on your phone,s memory.

Thanks jimfitzgerald for your input. Adding to what was stated, a good idea for having a Micro SD memory card would be for you to save and/or store any pictures. In the event anything happened to your phone without anything happening to your Micro SD memory, you could retrieve your saved/ stored pictures.
