Yes, I have a weak signal & get no connectivity way too much. Tried to use wi-fi. It connects to the network fine, but the browser is useless. It says no connection.

Hi Sparticuss67,
I am sorry to learn of this data issue; I would be frustrated if I was unable to access data on my phone. The following procedure has resolved this data connectivity issue for others, please try:
On your phone go to Menu>Settings>Battery and Data Manager>Data Delivery then make sure background data and data enabled are turned on. If they are ON, turn OFF then power phone OFF/ON and repeat steps to turn ON.
I trust that the above steps will resolve your concerns. Keep us posted.

I did this a week or so ago, and I am STILL having the same problems. I live in an area with 4G, but the phone still switches between 3 and 4G..the problem is, that lag time in between. The in-between time is often MUCH longr than the time in one or the other. I have the same problem if I switch it back to 3G (CDMA only) mode as well. It still cuts out, and I'd estimate that I have NO DATA half to 3/4 of the time. SO FRUSTRATING. I love the phone when it works, but I'm stick of paying for data that I'm NOT getting.

Nationwide outage according to customer service. It's been an issue for a couple of hours but their techs are working on it. Of course I didn't believe them! I told the rep that if aliens are attacking, he better fess up now!

That's incredible that they told you that. This has been happening for weeks. This problem is discussed all over the Web. There is supposed to be a fix in November, but we need to keep letting Verizon know that this is a problem or they will ignore it.

I'm curious if VZW will expect us to pay for the full data plan even though it only works 50% of the time. (And that seems like a generous estimation)

I really, really, REALLY encourage everyone to complain to VZW. And I mean not on this forum as they apparently don't read this stuff. Demand some compensation. Of course, the rep will greet you with the scripted "I was not aware of any data connection problem with the Droid Bionic. Our network was down for a bit last weekend but it is fine now. " I really, really, REALLY hate being talked down to as if I am not an informed electronics user. I thoroughly reseach all problems I have with electronics as I know I am not the only one. Either I convinced her or she secretly knew about the problem because I got her to refund 50% of the FORCED data plan. BTW, if anyone can give a good reason why a smartphone must have a data plan, e.g. it can only update through the network and not WIFI, please I'd really, really, REALLY like to know. Still fuming because I have read that some have had the whole cost refunded depending on the rep your get. They should fess up and have a standard compensation response. And I don't care who's fault it is Moto's or VZW.

I had same problem come up on the 16th after owning the phone since it was released. Two things I did that worked or was coincidence (too soon to tell) was to take out the battery and press the on/off button for 30 seconds, then reboot. Tech support then had me go to settings/battery & data manager/data delivery and check data roaming. I have been good since. There are other postings by vzw people that they are working on this and a fix is due soon. I just hope it's a software or network issue, not hardware.

Beware. I kept getting "No Data Connection" notices. I was recently told it was not a network problem but a "known" problem with the Bionic. Verizon just sent me a refurbished Razr to replace my Bionic.
