SMS & MMS screen notification

I have the new moto droid.  Is there a setting that allows the screen to come on when locked upon receiving a sms or mms message?  The indicator light is small and hard to see in certain lighting conditions.  I cannot have an audible tone notification due to workplace rules.

You should download the application called "SMS Popup".
