Samsung CHARGE
This is sooo frustrating, lately my phone and my husbands phone both Samsung CHARGES are dropping calls left and right! Literally the calls don't last longer than a minute; It doesn't even come close to a minute long. I checked my call history/usage and there were over 25 calls that were interrupted due to dropped calls. I dont understand it!! I have calls last only 1 min. 12 sec., 49 seconds, 55 seconds and the latest call I tried to make lasted 16 seconds when the call was dropped. The last two attempts were to my husband who was literally 4 feet away from me!!
I have had this phone since the beginning of June and like I said it is just been recently (2 week) that the phone calls have been very inconsistent. Today I have just had it!! Can anyone help me resolve this issue or give me a heads up to what is causing this before I go screaming into the store?
I needs to be said that I don't hate this phone, I just wish its primary reason for being a phone would actually work.
The plus side to this phone is all the apps, the amazing camera, and mult media you can view and use on this hand held device.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Reston, VA - One dropped call today (audio out is a better term) to another Verizon Wireless handset. It is NOT fixed here.

Called my wife's phone this evening and the call went to "dead air" after 60 seconds. The good news is that's 3 times as long as our longest call in the last 3 weeks.
I've also noticed that the closer I am to the verizon wireless customer I'm talking to the quicker the call drops.
I have a ticket in with tech support to analyze my calls. I have been entering my ####'s religiously so I'm supposed to hear back tomorrow. Unfortunately, the tech I spoke with (in CA) had never taken a call on this issue and explained that it's not very common.
As for now the problem persists. I hope the success in AZ makes it's way East.

I am in Nashville and it does seem to be better in my area. Staying Cautiously Optimistic!
Thanks.

Just an update... the problem continues.
I previously posted at #130.
Got my Charge on Aug 16, posted Aug 18 about this problem. Now,as of the 23rd, the problem continues. Unfortunately, most of my calls are to other Verizon phones so this is a real POA. Again, from my experience, I seem to have the most "lost audio" problems while speaking to other Verizon customers who are using Android devices. I have fewer or no problems with friends who still have Verizon dumb phones like the Razor.
Sure hope Verizon gets this solved. I'm running out of "return days".

I had a call to my brother's Droid Charge drop today but then I called him back after it dropped and it was a stable call to him for more than five minutes.

Mike
I also thank you for your post.
At last we have some kind of an explanation as to what may be going on with our phones. (I can't tell you how much ribbing I've gotten about my fancy-schmancy new phone that can't hold a call). It really helps when customers are actually provided with some concrete information about a problem and are not treated like 15 year old dolts who just bought their first phone.
Very much appreciated!

Another 'audio out' call last night, to a VW phone, of course - not fully fixed in the DC area, apparently, but nowhere near as bad as a while ago it seems.
Mike, thanks for the directions above, the tech support call today was good and I opened another ticket.
If you have a 'dropped call,' after hanging up dial 555-555-5555 to flag the previous call as a problem to be looked at. An earlier mention of ### to do that doesn't work on Android phones, I'm told.

So how are things going for people outside of Az? Phones working again without the dropped audio/muted audio?

Still an unreliable phone for voice calls. I am on my second one and still the same issues. Choppy audio, dropped calls in strong signal areas, terrible. I will go back to an old phone. The Droid Charge is the worst phone for voice I have ever owned.
