Screen Lock Change with 2.2. Have to use TWO unlock processes now?

When I was on 2.1, I could unlock my phone just by using the swipe the dots pattern option .  Now on 2.2 I have no such option that I can find.  It's FIRST SCREEN:  Slide the lock from left to right then SECOND SCREEN:  Swipe Dots, PIN or Password.  Only other option is to have no screen lock at all.  Is there any way I can have it where I only have to use one unlock process to open my phone?

Hmmm! I still have the same lock pattern, swiping from left to right. Did you put in an additional lock pattern?

Agree. Have the same issue.   on 2.1, I had disabled the slider lock

so that I only had the PIN lock.    Now with 2.2, I see no way to disable

the slider lock ... so there is 2 steps to gain access each time.

This appears to be the case with 2.2  I don't think it can be changed without a future update.  However you can increase the time to lock the screen so it's not as annoying having to do it all the time.  I increased my time to lock to 20 mins.

I don't know if this will help since I don't use this feature. But, it appears to have to do with corporate sync. It is probably disabled by your administrator of corporate sync.

In Location and Security (in settings) you should see a ways down "Select Device Administrators". If you open it, you should see corporate sync (if you don't, then this is not the problem). This has something to do with restrictions set by your company.

I read that if you delete your corporate account and then re add it, it will work.

As I said, I read about this in another forum. so I don't know if it will help in your case or the exact specifics.

This is crazy!!!  It's not a big deal but I thought 2.2 was supposed to be an upgrade? Not an update filled with issues.

I prefer to have the swipe lock for the screen lock, then input a pin to access my phone. This was the way I had it in 2.1, and I had to setup the pin lock again after upgrading this morning to 2.2. I do like the feature of the MP3 player to have the controls on the lock screen.

I like swipe lock compared to any other option too.  But, i dislike all screen locks on my droid for some reason.  When the screen is turned off so is touch.  So i don't personlly see the need to lock it if it can't be touched.  Also, if its in a dock...i'm not touching it unless i want to.

If i wanted security (keep someone from accessing my phn.) then i would probably do the pin.   But I still just don't personally want to lock it at all.

Unfortunate that I can't turn off the lock completely now with this update.  Its a little dissapointing.
