I've been looking at screen protectors for the incredible. I bought the skinomi techskin shown here: http://www.skinomi.com/htcdrin.html.
I was also looking at the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD shown here: http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-droid-incredible-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shield...
I'm not sure wich one would be better, they look to be made out of the same material and both have a lifetime warranty. I went with the skinomi because of some reports of the invisible shield turning a yellowish color from the sun after awhile, and the skinomi has UV protection.
I was just looking for some opinions from you guys on what products if any you have tried. I have the cheap static screen protectors that come 3 in a pack form my env touch and they are not good quality at all.
Thanks for the input.

i have always used the zagg protector and have yet to see the yellowing. so my two cents go to the zagg plus, like you said, life time guarantee.
only downside i can find about the zagg is the "stickiness" of the screen, so swiping is sometimes difficult.

i got whatever they sell you at vzn (jus because i wanted to immidiately have a protector). i actually really like them, but they may be what you mentioned, as they did come in a 3 pack? they seem to be good to me? but i never used one on my env touch so this is the first i've ever used a protector. over 2 weeks and it's worked fine so far. i have played with my friend's moto droid and it seemed sticky....i'm guessing he has the zaggs (because it seemed sticky)??? but his did seem to be of a bit higher quality (seemed softer and maybe even thicker than mine)???

Word of caution, Don't let your phones mess up and bring your phone up there with invisible shield from Zagg on it...It can and possibly will void your warranty and they will blame that on your phone breaking so you will be the one paying for it in long run! Been there, Done that!

I put a screen protector on my Incredible, and the next day, the screen kept continually scrolling to the left. What I was told was that the Incredible uses a capacitive multi-touch technology that requires direct contact with the skin. So, I was told that you could not use a screen protector with the Incredible.

that's not true. i've had a screen protector from day one. heck....it was verizon that sold it to me!!!! besides...their explanation does not explain the scrolling to the left. by their explanation it SHOULD NOT scroll UNLESS your actual skin touches the phone??? i think they made up a lame excuse. mine works fine with the the protector.

how could a screen protector possibly void the warranty? And i am thinking of buying some of the static ones because i am hesitant to put the liquid on the screen.

A screen protector won't void the warranty. The Zagg invisible shield will. My touch screen on my LG Versa a while back messed up and Verizon said it was due to the Invisible shield by Zagg, installed on my phone. Therefore, They would not fix it under warranty.

The only thing I can think that you could do would be talk to customer service. They really made a big deal to me about it and I was not a happy customer. They opened up the warranty information book and it said any kind of physical alterations to the phone could void the warranty. It never specifies what or how. Just "Physical alteration". And when you actually use Zagg they actually install this screen protector on your phone. Its very thick. And they heat it up to paste anf firmly hold to your phone. Maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe its a sales thing to only purchase there accesories only? Maybe a Verizon Rep here could comment about this to everyone and give some input??

That is ludicrous. The only possible issue would be if there were any water damage resulting from a careless installation and that would be easily apparent, and justifiable. Any heat applied is minimal and really no more significant than carrying it in your pocket on a warm day.
If they are going to try and deny warranty because of the Zagg or similar they should be doing the same for any cover or case, including Verizon's.

And I totally agree with you and I was very upset about it. But what it had done, Was about a month after I got Zagg installed on it, The touchscreen started acting crazy, Never worked, Pressed random buttons at random times. The guy at Verizon said it was the pressure from the Zagg shield on there was confusing the touch screen. So I dunno lol.

I am currently using the sgp crystal clear on my Incredible. It works just fine. The anti-finger print one had complaints about making the screen a little blurry. Worst case scenario, your like me and have to wipe your screen occasionally. No big deal. I wouldn't use zagg, and disqualified it as an option as soon as I saw the word "water." No way in hell I would ever risk that. Even if it is fool proof, I am almost positive I could screw it up somehow. The static protectors are cheap and easily replaceable. Not a big deal, especially considering I had the same protector on my Env Touch for more than a year.

i would not buy the screen protectors from VZW. if they are anything like the Eris protector, it's HORRIBLE!!!!. it came off after a month; air bubbles would not come out and the protector didn't fit the phone well. i purchased a new one from www.accessoryexportwholesale.com and it works GREAT! no air bubbles; super easy to put on & it fits the phone perfectly. it's been 3 mos & still on phone perfectly.
not sure if i'm allowed to put the name of the website on this forum but hopefully you will see it b4 they remove it if its not allowed otherwise i can PM you.

yeah....if i want something RIGHT NOW i'll see what i can grab at walmart or target, but really, online is the way to go. search "htc incredible....(battery, accessories, etc)..." on ebay and it's unreal what you can find. i got a set that includes 2 batteries and an external wall charger for $12 (generic, but new and works as good as the stock battery).....which is nice since you can only get a day out of these batteries.
