Screen Shot

Does anyone know if it's possible, and if so, how, to take a screenshot with the Droid X?

It seems I've seen screenshots posted in these forums but I never thought to ask how they did it.

Thanks,

Droid X does not have the acces in it systems API to do screen shots from the device without voiding warrenty, but you can search the web for the SDK method that allows you to take screenshots from the PC....

There is also a app on the market the reported to be able to do this, the only thing if I remember you have to activate the program everytime you restart by plugging into a pc and running a app and then you can screen shot without issues as long as you dont restart device..

Check market for a app called "No Root Screen Shot It"

Hey thanks, Wildman,

I haven't had the capability for 17 months and no need for it, so I'll probably live without it.  I had just seen a post in Nexus forum where you just long press the power button and the down volumn button and it takes a screenshot.  Thought it it was something easy I didn't know about.....

But again, many thanks for the info,

@dirkbonn
This thread might help you if you decide to create screenshots for your phone.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
