Screen size youtube videos

Hello, I just got a droid 2 (I had an iphone 3gs before) and I am not happy that it doesn't use the whole screen when I watch youtube videos.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there a setting maybe? I tried to find an answer on google but no luck.

Please advise! :smileyhappy:

Go to Settings.........General Settings........High quality Video On mobile.  If you check the high quality box it will fill the whole screen, however, it takes longer to load the video.  At least it did for me.

What do you mean by that exactly, do you mean that there are black bars on either side of the video? Are you doing this from the browser or through the youtube application?

I use the youtube application which was already installed on the phone.... when the videos are played they are not using the whole screen.... there are black bars all around the screen... the actual video (all the videos, I tried different ones to see if it would make a difference) is so small. I don't know how else to explain it 😕

I never had that issue with the iphone... it used the whole screen.

I found if you hit HQ the pictures improves focus dramatically and fill the entire screen too. One the original Droid you had to go into the menu to do the HQ screen, on the D2 you can hit the HQ button on the main display and it sharpen's it up and fills up the screen. Hope that helps.
