Search option on phone not good?

Okay prior to buying the HTC Incredible I asked whether or not I could search my phone like i could with Blackberry Storm and provide me with all results in relation to the phrase I typed.

 

For example if I type the word "rob" my Blackberry Storm could fetch results from Messages/Calls/Calendars/Memopad etc

 

On the HTC Incredible I do see whats available but it doesnt really do the job I was hoping for; did this change when 2.2 was released?  Meaning theres a huge list of what I can search from but who wants to take the time and search from every application separately?  Wasnt there a way that when you did a search it would pull everything up in different categories so you can search for something only once?

 

Also about searching Calendar; is there a limit as far as how far out it will search??? I have a birthday coming in April and it isnt pulling it up.  It seems like if I were to type anything searching under the calendar it will be current month + 1 month and that is all :smileysad:

There are different applications that can help improve searching on the phone. Here is a link to a great one Click Here. Keep in mind all applications are download at your own risk.

 

 

To review what is synced on your android's calendar follw these instructions below:

 

Sync Contact’s Birthdays with your Android phone’s calendar

  1. Go to www.google.com/calendar
  2. Log on with the same Google account that you use for you Android phone
  3. Under the Other calendars click Add then select Browse Interesting Calendars
  4. At the Interesting Calendars section click the More tab
  5. You will see “Contacts’ birthdays and events” click subscribe and there you go.
