I have previously posted advising of issues with sending emails from my roadrunner email accounts and thought I had a fix.   I was only able to send the first email and then it quit.   I am able  to receive andI am able to send from my work account, gmail account . I am unable to send or forward from either road runner account.   Any suggestions?

You can't reply to (or send from) your Road Runner account if you're not on the RR network. The workaround I've used is to reply using the outgoing server from another account (gmail, for example).

Thanks..   That was exactly right.  If I am running wifi at home or on anohter persons RR account I can send emails.  If not I cannot.   Thanks for the info and the fix.   You have also helped me figure out why I couldnt reply to emails when I am on the road traveling with my laptop and hook up via non road runner service..

Wow... I am sooo sorry!!! You are correct.  It was not me.  It was VerizonLVR that assisted.  Chaulk it up to inexperince with forums.   How do I reverse it and give credit wher credit is due?

Or, you can report the post and ask a moderator to fix it for you. Or just wait for one to appear (click your heels three times maybe?) :smileywink:

Unless you're specifically referring to the Droid this is inaccurate information.
I send emails from my roadrunner account everyday from my Omnia using the Verizon network not WI-FI.
If you're using pop3 all you have to do is setup the roadrunner outgoing smtp server. Verizon disabled their smtp relay server because most ISPs provide their own.
You should probably contact your provider because different areas have different settins, but for mine, the incoming server is pop-server.roadrunner.com.  Under username, you have to use your full email address. The outgoing SMTP server is smtp-server.roadrunner.com
