Is anyone else's Droid 2 having signal problems? My phone went from having 3G coverage earlier to 1X to almost none within the past few hours. I've turned it on and turned it off. Anyone know anything I can do to get signal?

Here is what mine does - when the screen times out, the signal drops to a single bar, and many times it will drop the 3G connection all together. This started happening last Friday. I have done *228 option 1 and *228 option 2 and it hasn't fixed anything. I'm baffled.

while verizon has the most towers available for cell phone coverage there is no way tey can cover every nook and cranny. and sometimes to many towers in one area can cause signal problems as well. i do not know of anyway to get better signal but if wifi is available you might try that.

I don't recall seeing the 3G symbol on my phone since I bought it, guess I have to stay near the Verizon store to get 3G...

Are you able to pick up 3G indoors? I'm not on wifi at the office but I've never seen 3G there either. In fact, I'm usually not seeing more than 2-3 signal bars anytime.

Try doing a soft reset on the device once that is done do a PRL update on the phone by dialing *228 option 2.
A soft reset is the most useful tool for resolving a variety of issues. In most cases, a soft reset will not affect data on the device, unless the battery is very low.
- Press and hold the Power button.
- Touch Power off.
- Press and hold the Power button to power on the device.
