Silence/Vibrate

Ever since I got the update, I can't just put my phone on vibrate or just on silent. I have to go through and keep on changing the settings instead of being able to just press the volume buttons on the side to go from silent to vibrate. Am I the only one with this problem?

It will only let you go to one...I think it sucks too... to change between silent and vibrate you have to go into the menu now..

I have no idea why they did this...

If your settings are set to vibrate the volume buttons go down to vibrate, but won't continue to silent like it used to.

If yourf settings are set to silent, then the volume keys will not let you set to vibrate.

Hey Verizon.... this sucks

You can use the silent slider on the lock screen.  It does have a bug where if you have it set to vibrate prior to putting it in silent, it won't re-enable vibrate when you turn the sound back on.

I actually like this. I never (virtually never) want my phone silenced, but often want it set to vibrate. This allows me to easily set it to vibrate without worrying that I went one click too far.

I noticed this too but I actually prefer silent over vibrate so I just changed the settings.

The silent slider on the screen puts it on vibrate and will not change unless in settings.

I miss this function, too.  I wonder if they changed it due to people complaining that they inadvertently turned the phone to silent (with the side "volume" button) when handling the phone, thus missing calls?

I'm sure... this function has been on every Moto phone for forever, and I have loved their phones because of this.

O well, as crappy as this build is I'm sure I will go HTC from now on (yes ended with preposition).
