I went to the local Verizon Corporate store got mine at 11:00 AM EST. I was even an hour late for opening. I live on just north of Cincy. Had no trouble getting one on yearly upgrade and was even upgraded 4 days early! I have switched from a BB Storm to the Droid X. I think it is AWESOME and I am on a learning curve. Posted question on this site and was answered w/i 24 hours. So far so good!

You're not the only one. I have a contact issue but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I've been waiting for this Droid for awhile and I'm very excited about it. Its always a learning curve with new phones.

I wouldn't know 😕 Verizon can't activate the phone so I can't get past that screen to even check out the features of the phone.

No problems here: ordered online on Thursday, 15 Jul -- arrived via FedEx at 3pm on Friday, 16 Jul. Upgraded from an LG Dare. Had a few how to questions but quickly found the answers online. As my 12-year old says, "I'm jealous".

Having contact problem too. I have just been searching for answers, and trying things out. So far my contacts that were switched for me from the Verizon store from my Storm to my Droid have not synced on Google yet. Any suggestions?

I'm not so happy....yet.
Been playing with it endlessly...I miss the text notification icon from the iphone. I just have to play with it some more.
That being said, when Verizon ever gets the iphone -- I may have to jump the Droid ship. The iphone is MUCH easier to set up and use.

I paid full price for my Droid as well, and I'm not sorry one bit for the purchase. For those who may be on the fence about purchasing the HDMI cable, borrow one and shoot a video with your phone then watch it on a high def tv. You will RUN out and get your own, it is fantastic. None of the memory issue or hangup that I had with my Storm 1. This phone is powerful enough to replace my netbook. It does everything that my netbook does at a fraction of the size. Thank you Motorola and Verizon......Now about this tiered data! Well thats for another day!

I'm loving it. I am learning something new about it everyday. It's been a lot of fun.
