Recently a software update was made available for the Incredible 2. The "update has broken several items on my phone and I am no longer able to access my widgets. Apparently this is the gingerbread update. looking for a fix or would like to revert to the froyo.

Had absolutely zero problems with the update. I've read some people did have some problems with the update and cured them by doing a factory reset. If you do the factory reset you should know you will lose all your settings and data. Before resetting, download something like MyBackup from the Market and back up all your system settings, alarms and homescreens. That way you can restore those things after the reset.

Hello LanceCurtis,
Thank you for sharing your concern with the community so we can assist. I agree with Jon_Doh on how to resolve the issues that you are having with your device. In most cases a factory reset resolves almost any issues that may arise from a software update. As he previously stated, it's recommended to back up all of your info prior to the factory reset. Your Gmail account have the ability to save all of your contacts and calendar entries onto the www.gmail.com website. Keep in mind that a factory reset does NOT erase any info that is saved on your memory card unless you check the box to have the memory card erased. Here is a link that have the steps to perform the factory reset on the HTC Droid Incredible 2.

Once you have completed a factory reset the phone will need to be reactivated. After activating the device, please retry the services that you were having problems with before setting up your device. This way we can ensure that the issue is truly resolved and it is not effected by any third party apps that you may have been using. If you have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to reply to this posting for additional assistance.
Thank you...
