Streaming Apps no longer work after Gingerbread update

Hi Folks,

Add this to the list of weirdness after the 2.3.4 update...I have some apps that I use to listen to streaming media, like AMR Radio and iCatholic Radio.  Ever since the 2.3.4 update they will not stream anymore. They seem to run just fine, you press play and it says that it's buffering audio and then...nothing. No error messages or anything just won't play.  I have already done a FR on the DINC and that did nothing to fix it.

I also can no longer stream audio or video files that are up on my DropBox and that used to work fine under FroYo as well. What gives?  BTW - this is true whether I am on 3G or WiFi.

Anyone else seeing this? Even better, anyone have a fix? Smiley Happy

thanks!

You can try clearing the data for the app by going to Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / (App Name) /  Clear Data or you can uninstall the app and reinstall the app because when you update with some apps installed it saves the settings from the previous OS and this is known to cause issues and this is why I suggest to hard reset before OS update..

Try the options above and see if it helps...

Thanks for the reply Wildman, but I don't think that's the issue.  I did try clearing the app data just to be sure and it made no difference.  I did a factory reset of the DInc after the update came down and reinstalled all my apps. It was then that this problem started to occur.

Linuxdude, thanks for bringing this issue to my attention. I have not heard this issue being reported since Gingerbread was released. Have you tried any other music applications like Pandora since the update? Is data still being sent/received at this time? Have you also reported these issues to the developer?
