I recently plugged my Incredible into my computer and it rebooted, but did not start all the way. It makes it to the screen where it says HTC quietly brilliant screen and no further. I can't do a hard or soft restart because I can't even make it anywhere where I can push the power button and it does anything. I am assuming I am going to have to take this in and get a new one but I was wondering if anyone figured anything out where I don't have to do this thanks.
Remove the battery. Put it back in.
Then, hold the BOTTOM button of your VOLUME keys and at the same time click the Power button. Hold them pressed until you see a boot mode (kind of a safe mode thing for computers). There you will see a menu on a white screen. Use your volume keys to navigate up and down. Navigate to FASTBOOT and click the Power button to make your choice. A new page loads up where you choose REBOOT and click Power button again.
If your phone still gets stuck on a white screen then call VZW.
hmm were you maybe tring to root the phone by any chance???
