Surcharges and Other Charges & Credits Verizon Wireless Surcharges -$39.55

Is that per month? if so, I sould get out now and go back to my iphone with AT&T and all of the drop calls and dead spots

Without seeing your bill, I would think that this may include a 1 time activation fee of $35.

It probably includes an activation fee, but I'd check the charges by line section on myverizon to doublecheck *WHAT* those charges are. For example, I have four smartphones on my account and in my state, that does result in $30-$40 a month in taxes and surcharges. So check what it is before panicking!
