Sync only selected contact folders with outlook

I am looking for an app that will sync my droid with only selected CONTACTfolders in my outlook contacts. I have different folders for different businesses and do not need them all on my phone. Please do not respond with an app that allows you to select only ONE folder or ALL folders. I want to select multiple contact folders of my choice. This was a piece of cake with the stock app on my blackberry (for free). Things seem way more complicated with Androids.

Thanks

Just scanned the artilce and it was as expected:

How To: Sync Android With Microsoft Outlook

There's a little secret to buying an Android phone, one that you may not learn until it's too late: Google really wants you to use Gmail, Google Contacts, and Google Calendar.

With "too late" being the operative word. Finding out that with most tasks, the apps supplied and available are inadequate and this whole business of having to hunt down and in most cases purchase something that does everything you want it to do is becoming a real pain. I'm going back to a blackberry at my first opportunity. All apps were extremely well thought out and laid out.

I want to sync direc tly from outlook and as I mentioned, I have not found an app yet that can do what I'd like it to do. HTC sync was tried and it will only let you selcect 1 folder of contacts. That won't work for me

There is no working apps to sync directly from outlook, you try..  http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2382337,00.asp

Paid Outlook Sync Options
The Missing Sync for Android ($39.95; www.markspace.com) syncs calendars, contacts, tasks, and notes locally with Microsoft Outlook and (on the Mac) Microsoft Entourage and Apple iCal. In our review, though, we found Missing Sync klutzy to set up, and we've received plenty of user feedback on how unreliable it is.

Another option is CompanionLink for Android ($39.95, www.companionlink.com). CompanionLink syncs Microsoft Outlook contacts, calendars, tasks, and notes via Wi-Fi or USB. CompanionLink synchronizes with Sage ACT!, Lotus Notes, GoldMine, Novell GroupWise, Palm Desktop, and even Salesforce CRM data. You can download a 14-day evaluation direct from the company at http://www.companionlink.com/downloads/. We haven't tested that solution.

Also try....  Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook only if you dont have Windoes 7 (unsupported)

Try an app called Touchdown by NitroDesk, Inc. It may also go by "Exchange for Android 2.x" which is how is shows up in "my apps". It uses ActiveSync to sync with your Outlook Server assuming you are using an Outlook Server like I do at work. It allows you to choose which Contact folders to sync, not just one and not all, but just the ones you want. It also does your Outlook email, calendar, and tasks. It does not do Notes however.

Overall I like it. The only issue I have is that it is also supposed to take the contacts it syncs with and copy them over to the HTC built in "People" app and this process isn't always seemless. As a result contacts that show up in my "favorites" sometimes have to be removed and put back as their phone numbers are not recognized when I try to call them that way. However, I typically call people by using Touchdown to pull them up and choosing which number to call.

Last, they should have an evaluation or free version so you can test drive it before purchasing it. At least they did when I got it.

Good luck
