I've figured out how to get my outlook calendar over to my gmail account, but now how do I get it onto my Droid X?
Thanks.

You need to download & install to your main Computer/Laptop the "Google Calendar Sync" from the Google site. Once launched, just configure it and it should start syncing ... Worked like a charm for me.

OK, I did that (got the Google Calendar Sync). But I'm missing the step on configuring it, or whatever, to synch it to the Droid X.

You already have GMAIL set up on Google, right? You must have that set up 1st. Then after launching Calendar Sync on your main computer, right-click on the Icon in your Tray on the Computer and select OPTIONs to set the 2-way (or 1-way) Sync.
PS - you do NOT have to use GMAIL for this. I actually have mine working with YAHOO Email - it syncs my Calendar between Google Calendar & my OUTLOOK folder on my computer.

Sorry to be such a dummy.
I'm all set on my computer - I've got my Outlook calendar over to gmail; I've chosen 2-way synch.
But how do I get this onto my Droid X? I've connected the USB cable to it (and yes, plugged the USB into my computer). But where on the phone do I tell it I want to synch it?
Thanks.

When I first activated my phone, there was a pop-up that asked me to provide my GMAIL userid & password ... this "registered" me with Google GMAIL. (I had to already have a Gmail account of course.) That's really all I had to do ... Then you just launch your email APP and Calendar App on the phone and it magically all happens. There aren't many configuration things for this on the phone..
PS - you don't have to connect via the USB cable to do any of this ... it happens over the 3G network.

I wound up calling the Verizon store.
I had to go into my gmail settings, and uncheck, then re-check synch my calendar. Not sure why it didn't work before.
But THANKS for all of your help.

To sync the Droid X to your gmail account, you need to turn on the sync in the setting area,
>> SETTINGS >> ACCOUNTS >>
Make sure the SYNC Calendar has a green check in the box
That's it.
