Still waiting for my update too. Would be nice if someone from Verizon could tell us how the rolling out of updates work. Do they start with a certain region of the country, do they update by when the phone was bought, do they update by phone number, what?

Based on past updates we can confirm that it isn't by region and it isn't based on when the phone was purchased. All other variables are a possibility until we have proof that they are excluded
I understand that they have the ability to deploy updates based on specific telephone numbers (probably indirectly, by relating the phone number to an ESN), but exactly how they go about selecting those numbers is a complete mystery (at least to me).

I got my update on 10.28, but read this morning that the update was finally being sent out in large batches. I can say, that I had issues with Froyo 2.2 on my Droid 2 since I've bought and have had 2 replacements. Since the 2.3 update, my Droid 2 is running much smoother, I've only had to reset it once in the last week, where before it was daily, for freeze and non gmail downloading issues. The screen scrolling is extremely smooth now, dare I say....iphone like. I wish they would've addressed the problem with the '&' symbol being backspaced to the end of the last word, thats a biggie to people who text a lot, to have to go back and correct the spacing problem every time you type '&'. Overall though, its a definite improvement. Battery life is noticeably better too. I'm on the internet a lot with my phone and send text's take pics, and have all the Motorblur feeds up and running all day and I still get a full day out of it usually. With light use, I can still have 50% of the battery at the end of the day. Not bad!

Question for Droid 2 owners?
1) Have you received the latest update that started going out last week?
2) If you answered “Yes” to question 1, is your exchange e-mail working again if you use it.
I have a Droid 1 and obviously my exchange e-mail does not work. I was told by Verizon that they would send me out a Droid 2 and they said that the new update for the Droid 2 “should” fix the problem. If this is less than accurate, then the Droid 2 will not solve my problem. I dont want a Droid 2 just because it is a new version. I want my e-mail to work again.
Thanks
